Description

A tender turkey meatloaf glazed with smoky barbecue sauce, baked until caramelized — a lighter, modern twist on a classic American comfort dish.

Ingredients
  • 1.5 lb lean ground turkey
  • 1 onion
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ cup no-added-sugar BBQ sauce
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • salt & pepper
Directions
  1. Heat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a loaf pan or sheet pan with parchment.
  2. In a bowl, gently combine ground turkey, finely minced onion, breadcrumbs, eggs, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper; mix just until combined.
  3. Shape into a loaf (about 8×4 in) and set on the prepared pan.
  4. Brush 1/4 cup BBQ sauce over the top.
  5. Bake 20–25 minutes, then pull out and brush 2 tbsp more BBQ sauce.
  6. Return to the oven and bake until the center reaches 165°F (74°C), about 45 minutes total.
  7. Rest 5–10 minutes before slicing; serve with the remaining 2 tbsp BBQ sauce.
